Recipes for Magickal Oils

The following recipes are from our own personal Books of Shadows. Please use them reponsibly and follow the warnings given in section, "Make Your Own Essential Oils."

Massage Oil

Blend and store. Shake before using.
4 oz sweet almond oil
1/2 tsp your favorite essential oil

Relaxing Bath Oil

Mix oils then add to carrier oil before pouring into running water. Stir water before getting in.
1 Tbs sweet almond carrier oil
2 drops german chamomile
3 drops lavender
2 drops patchouli

Astral Travel Oil

Anoint stomach, wrists, base of neck and forehead, (pulse points, energy meridians), lie down and commence visualizations.
3 drops sandalwood oil
1 drop yling ylang
1 drop cinnamon

Healing Oil

In 1/2 oz of base oil (jojoba, almond, grapeseed,etc.)
5 drops lavender oil
5 drops camphor oil
5 drops eucalyptus oil
5 drops orange oil
3 drops rosemary oil
2 drops pine oil
4 drops sandalwood oil

Goddess Oil

1 part lemon oil
1 part jasmine oil
1 part camphor oil
1 pinch sea salt
small moonstone

Happiness Oil

7 drops basil oil
5 drops orange oil
1 drop patchouli oil
3 drops rose oil
1 drop rosemary oil
citrine stone

Heart Healing Oil

1 part jasmine oil
1 part yling ylang oil
1 part dragon's blood resin oil
1 rose quartz chip
1 malachite chip

Consecration Oil

1/2 dram frankincense oil
1/2 dram myrrh oil
3 drops cinnamon oil
1 bay leaf

General Anointing Oil

5 parts frankincense
5 parts cedarwood
4 parts sandalwood
2 parts myrrh
Add a tiny Amethyst crystal to the bottle

Isis Oil

5 drops camphor oil
7 drops hyacinth oil
7 drops rose oil
9 drops myrrh oil
1 myrrh nugget

Dana Oil

1 dram sweet almond base oil
1/2 dram dragon's blood oil
1/2 dram vervain oil
3 rose petals
1 small quartz

Cerridwen Oil

base of hazelnut oil
1/2 elder oil
1/8 dram pine oil
1 snowflake obsidian chip
1 hazelnut
elder flowers

Full Moon Oil

6 parts dilute jasmine oil(3 % jasmine absolute in a jojoba oil base)
3 parts dilute rose otto oil( (3 % rose otto absolute in a jojoba oil base)
3 parts sandalwood oil
3 parts lemon oil
Add a moonstone to the bottle

Prosperity Oil

7 drops cinnamon oil
3 drops wintergreen oil
cinnamon stick
malachite chip
fool's gold (or gold glitter)

Protection Oil

5 drops clove oil
4 drops patchouli oil
5 drops frankincense oil
A bit of hyssop
1 star anise

Peace Oil

1/2 oz. of base oil
3 drops lavender oil
3 drops rose oil
3 drops orange oil
3 drops basil oil 

Positive Energy Oil

1/8 dram dragon's blood oil
1/8 dram sandalwood oil
7 drops frankincense oil
a bit of saffron

Vision Oil

4 drops lemongrass
2 drops bay
1 drop nutmeg

Protection from Psychic Attack Oil

1 part bergamot oil
1 part dragon's blood oil
1 part rue oil
1 part frankincense oil
1 piece of high john root

Oil for the Dark of the Moon

Blend, bottle and shake well
2fl oz tincture of myrrh
1fl oz oil of cinnamon
1/4 fl oz Queen of the Night oil
1fl oz oil of rose

Healing Oil

1/2 oz base oil (jojoba, almond, grapeseed,etc.)
5 drops lavender oil
5 drops camphor oil
5 drops eucalyptus oil
5 dops orange oil
3 drops rosemary oil
2 drops pine oil
4 drops sandalwood oil

Lucky Planet Oil

Lucky Planet Oil rubbed on an orange candle, which is then left to burn down, is said to encourage a lucky turn of events.
5 drops ylang ylang oil
3 drops clary sage oil
5 drops geranium oil

Altar Oil

4 parts frankincense
3 parts myrrh
1 part galangal
1 part vervain
1 part lavender

Dreaming True Bath Oil

1 part lavender
1 part rosemary
1 part peppermint
1 part thyme
1 pinch powdered poppy seed

Spirit Oil

1 Tbs powdered orris root
1 Tbs dried seal of solomon
1 Tbs dried and crushed rosemary
1 small pinch jade powder
3 drops sandalwood oil
3 drops mint oil
1/4 cup safflower oil

Hoodoo Oil

1/4 cup sunflower oil
3 Tbs honey
3 dried pumpkin seeds
6 drops honeysuckle oil
3 drops rose oil
3 drops patchouli oil

Wisdom Oil

2 drops cinnamon oil
4 drops myrrh oil
3 drops lavender oil

Lunar Oil

Wear to invoke the Goddess within.
4 parts sandalwood oil
2 parts camphor oil
1 part lemon oil

Moon Oil

Wear to induce psychic dreams, to speed healing, to facilitate sleep, to increase fertility & for all other Lunar influences. Also wear at the time of the Full Moon to attune with its vibrations.
1 drop jasmine oil
1 drop sandalwood oil

Pan Oil

Wear to be infused with the spirit of Pan. Ideal for magickal or ritual dancing, music making, singing & so on. Also for attuning with the Earth.
3 drops patchouli oil
2 drops juniper oil
1 drop pine oil
1 drop oakmoss bouquet
1 drop cedarwood oil

Peace Oil

Wear when nervous or upset to calm you down. Stand before a mirror, and while looking in your eyes, anoint your body.
3 drops yling-ylang
3 drops lavender
2 drops camomile
1 drop rose absolute otto

Protection Oil

Wear for protection against all kinds of attacks. Also anoint the windows, doors & other parts of the house to guard it.
5 drops petitgrain
5 drops black pepper

Psychic Oil

Wear to increase psychic powers, especially when working with rune stones, quartz crystal spheres & other such tools.
5 drops lemongrass oil
1 drop yarrow oil

Purification Oil

Add to the bath or wear to be rid of negativity.
4 drops frankincense oil
3 drops myrrh oil
1 drop sandalwood oil

All-Purpose Oil

2 1/2 oz clear base
1 oz palma cristi (castor oil)
1 drop heliotrope oil
1 drop lotus oil
1 drop honeysuckle oil
1 drop vetivert, white musk, or oak moss

High John the Conqueror Oil

3oz clear base
3 drops white musk
2 drops bayberry
2 drops sandalwood
1/2 drop verbena
1/2 drop patchouli
Keep a Jalep root in master bottle
