Sapphire - Tektite

SAPPHIRE- Transparent to translucent deep-blue or black gem often displaying a six-pointed star due to the inclusion of ruile. An age old stone of prophecy and wisdom, sapphire is said to attract divine favor. It brings out the best in a person and helps manifest dreams. Use it to draw love and renew long-term relationships. Also useful as a protector of the auric field.

SELENITE- A soft layered stone produced in many forms -- from long striated projections to scaly fishtail shapes to rose petal forms in limestone. This clear to opaque crystal relates to the crown chakra and helps expand awareness and telepathic communication. Bearing the name of Selene, an ancient moon goddess, the stone enhances receptivity.

SEPTARIAN- Utah septarian nodules were formed in an ancient sea floor 50 million years ago. They have a gray limestone exterior, brown aragonite veining and a yellow calcite center. These formations are reminiscent of our ancient and primitive past. The hard exterior and delicate crystal center symbolize the expression of vulnerability and inner beauty of the soul.

SHAMAN STONES (MOQUI MARBLES)- These strange Ironstone concretions are found at the base of the Navajo Sandstone formation. The Moqui Indians that inhabited the Southwest used these small balls for marble-like games and in slings for hunting. The centers are filled with hard packed sandstone and the outer surface is a composite of iron, phosphorus, and lime. How they were formed and what caused their unusual rounded shapes remain a puzzle. There are various theories as to their formation and some scientists believe them to be from 130 to 155 million years old. Their energies are somewhat like those of Boji Stones. Shaman Stones are highly protective, and will absorb negativity and replace it with useful energies. They are wonderful for healing, as their energies flow easily up the Chakra column. The first time I held one of these stones in my hand, I could not believe the energy I felt inside them! Meditations and spiritual journeys are greatly enhanced by holding a Shaman Stone in each hand. They may also be used to contact your animal spirits, totems, and guides, and to aid in shapeshifting. SHELL- Mother of pearl, coral, paua, abalone. One of the earliest forms of wealth, shells have been equated with beauty, physical strength, and power. Cameos of gods, goddesses, and heros were said to bestow the power of the carved image. In ceremony, shells are often used to represent the element of water and the qualities of fluidity, movement, and change. Use shell to improve self-image and inner strength.

SMOKY QUARTZ- A good grounding stone. This brownish quartz helps stimulate and purify the base chakra, enabling us to let go of what is no longer needed for growth. STRAWBERRY QUARTZ- A delicate, milky pink quartz with occasional dark lines. This stone's energy is soft and soothing. It can be used to personal integrity. Carry strawberry quartz to both nurture and energize the heart.

SUGULITE- A deep purple, opaque stone found in Africa and also known as luvulite. Sugulite relates to the brow and crown chakras serving as a psychic protector. Often called a "new age" stone, sugulite is useful for sensitive, open individuals feeling overwhelmed by the negativity on the planet. Wear this stone to enhance devotion and spiritual depth.

SUNSTONE- Stimulates sexual arousal and increases sexual energy. Very protective. Sunstone is also used to increase physical energy when ill. If you want to strengthen the energy of any healing herb, place a sunstone in with the herb.

TANZANITE- A variety of zoisite found in limited quantities almost exclusively in Tanzania, Africa. This gemstone varies in hue from violet-blue to deep blue. Tanzanite activates the throat, third-eye, and crown chakras. It unites all aspects on communication and psychic power allowing the user to convey visions. Work with tanzanite to stimulate the imagination and eliminate confusion and illusion.

TEKTITE- Found in a the rice paddies of Southeast Asia, tektite is formed from a meteorite collision; although, it is not known if the collision occurred with the earth, moon, or another planet. Upon impact, melted rock and meteorite are thrown at high speeds into the upper atmosphere. There they cool and harden preserving their melted shape Tektite is helpful for individuals experiencing sudden bursts of consciousness.
